I’m an author, leadership coach, facilitator, and PhD Candidate. I’m also a father, and someone who spent more than two decades in school leadership before understanding what it actually costs to lead well — and what it takes to lead sustainably.
That question is what drives everything I do.
Over 35 years in education - more than 20 in senior leadership - I’ve led schools, supported systems, and coached leaders carrying more than anyone should reasonably carry. I’ve also experienced burnout firsthand. That experience became From Burnout to Breakthrough: The Leadership Reset (Routledge, 2026). My second book, Not One More Teacher Lost (Routledge, 2026), examines why capable educators are leaving a profession they still believe in - and what we can actually do about it.
I’m currently a PhD Candidate researching Leadership Moral Injury - the damage that occurs when leaders are repeatedly required to act against their values. It’s one of the most common and least-named experiences in leadership today. My work is built on one conviction:
“Leaders who think clearly, lead effectively, and stay sustainable create lasting impact - for their teams, their organisations, and themselves.”
